The Federal Tax Service (FTS) has seized the accounts of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Mash reports this.
As it became known, the reason for the arrest was the ex-athlete’s debt in the amount of 297 million rubles. It is noted that the Federal Tax Service previously closed several companies associated with Nurmagomedov.
It was previously reported that Nurmagomedov owed the tax authorities over 300 million rubles. It also became known that some accounts had been blocked, including the Eagle FC fighting league and a charity fund.
Nurmagomedov defended the UFC lightweight title three times before retiring in 2020. In total, the athlete won 29 victories in 29 professional fights in mixed martial arts. After finishing his performances, Nurmagomedov began coaching.
