Florida goalie Bobrovsky: After 3-3 in series, it felt like it was the end
Russian Florida Panthers goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky spoke about the victorious final of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the Edmonton Oilers. The athlete’s words are quoted by Sport Express.
“It wasn’t easy. After the score became 3-3, it was exactly the same feeling as last year, after the fifth game against Vegas. It felt like it was the end,” Bobrovsky shared.

Bobrovsky noted that the Florida goalkeeper coach’s decision to give him an extra day off was important. According to the goalkeeper, it was thanks to this that he relaxed and was well prepared for the decisive match of the series.
On June 25, Florida defeated Edmonton in the decisive seventh game of the NHL final series. Florida initially led the best-of-seven series 3-0, but the Oilers won three in a row to even the series.
The decisive meeting took place at Florida’s home arena and ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the hosts. Russian Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov made an assist, and Bobrovsky blocked 23 of 24 shots. In addition to them, another Russian, Vladimir Tarasenko, became the Stanley Cup winner for the club.
Bobrovsky and Kulikov won the Stanley Cup for the first time in their careers, Tarasenko took the trophy in 2019 as part of the St. Louis Blues.
