The Figure Skating Federation denied the help of the judges to the daughter of Tutberidze in the Chechen Republic

The general director of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKR) Alexander Kogan said there were no violations in refereeing at the national championship. His words are quoted by Match TV.

Kogan denied the information that a specialist from the “Crystal” department of the “Sambo-70” school was present in the referee team, which evaluated the ice dancing competition. The daughter of Eteri Tutberidze, Diana Davis, is engaged there, who acts in tandem with Gleb Smolkin. “Everything was clean, and no coach of Khrustalny showed anything there,” Kogan emphasized.

On December 27, “Sport-Express” noticed that among the judges in ice dancing was Maira Abasova, who is the coach of “Khrustalny”. In this regard, the publication noted the possible assistance of the judge to the Davis-Smolkin pair.

On December 25, American journalist Jackie Wong questioned the fairness of the assessments of Tutberidze’s daughter at the Russian Championship. He considered it wrong that the couple took second place.

Davis together with Smolkin scored a total of 207.70 points. The silver medal guaranteed them getting into the national team for the European Championship, which will be held in January in Tallinn.
