The second day of Christmas, 2007. The times when we could admire not only Kamil Stoch, but also on the ski jumps. Dawid Kubacki, Piotr Żyła and Maciej Kot have not yet had any significant success on their accounts. The 56th was approaching, but before the riders showed up in Oberstdorf, another important competition awaited them – in show jumping.

There were no surprises on the normal hill – Adam Małysz won before and. Małysz did not appear on the large hill, i.e. Wielka Krokiew, which opened the chances for other competitors to win gold. Many young, unknown and talented players appeared at the start. Among them, only 13-year-old.
Despite such a young age, young Klimek jumped far, as if he had made thousands of jumps in his career. It was no different in the first series of the Polish championship in Zakopane. Murańka surprised the audience by jumping 126 meters. – I am very happy with this jump. He was good – said Klimek in an interview with a TVP Sport journalist shortly after landing. When asked about his second jump, the 13-year-old answered shortly: – Maybe it will be better, maybe it will be worse, I don’t know.
After Murańka, they gave their attempts to, among others, ,,, Piotr Żyła or Robert Mateja. However, no one managed to overtake the sensational 13-year-old. Only one competitor managed it – Kamil Stoch flew 130 meters and after the first round he was in the lead. – The level is quite high, because Klimek jumped very well, which is a great surprise. I am very happy that these young people are finally starting to jump – said Stoch after his first jump.
If anyone thought that in the second series of Murańka he would “burn”, he must have been surprised again. The 13-year-old showed a jump slightly shorter than the one he had in the first round. 125 meters and confident handling. Even then it was known that he had at least silver. And it also ended with such a medal, because Stoch did not disappoint and reached for gold. – Klimek cooked me a little – smiled Kamil in an interview with TVP Sport.
It was the second medal of the Polish Championships for Klemens. In the same year he won bronze in the summer competition at the Middle Krokiew. It quickly became loud about the sensational 13-year-old. Some even saw him as the successor of Adam Małysz. The reality turned out to be more brutal. Murańka’s career did not go perfectly, but Klemens still has several achievements that he can boast of. First of all, it is a bronze medal won with the team in Falun in 2015. In addition, he won the team world junior championships and the Summer Continental Cup. From January 2021 he is the hill record holder at Willingen (153 meters).
