British newspaper The Telegraph on its web page X mixed up the name of the Soviet football player Lev Yashin.
Journalists published material in which they chose the best team in the history of the European Championships. In the first confrontation, they brought together the finalists of Euro 2000, the Italians, and the USSR national team, which became the winner of the first ever European Championship, held in 1960. In the protocol of the USSR national team, the team goalkeeper Lev Yashin was named Kyle.
Previously, FourFourTwo included Yashin among the best players in the history of the World Cup. Out of 33 places in the ranking, he took 16th place.
Yashin is the 1956 Olympic champion, five-time USSR champion and winner of the 1960 European Nations Cup. He is the only goalkeeper in history to receive the Ballon d’Or (1963).
