Journalist Burbas announced a conflict between Rebrov and Zinchenko in the Ukrainian national team
Ukrainian sports journalist Igor Burbas on his YouTube channel spoke about a serious conflict within the national team between head coach Sergei Rebrov and midfielder Alexander Zinchenko.
The journalist said that the information was confirmed to him by the team players, so he is guaranteed to be responsible for it. “Zinchenko in the national team camp was dissatisfied with Rebrov’s methods of work, he went around and cheated the boys,” he said. Burbas added that in the end the footballer and coach came to a common denominator.
On June 26, the Ukrainian national team played a draw with the Belgian national team in the third match of the group stage of the 2024 European Championship with a score of 0:0. The team finished last in Group E with four points and was eliminated from Euro 2024.
Zinchenko began his professional career at Ufa in 2015. He played there until the summer of 2016, after which he moved to the English Manchester City. Together with the “townspeople,” the athlete became a four-time champion of England and won the National Cup. In July 2023, he moved to London Arsenal.
Rebrov ended his professional career in 2009, his last club being Rubin Kazan. The coach will lead the Ukrainian national team in 2023.
