IOC speaks about the possibility for Russian athletes to communicate with the media at the Olympics

The IOC said there will be no restrictions on Russians communicating with the media at the 2024 Olympics

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has spoken out about the possibility for Russian athletes to communicate with media representatives at the 2024 Games in Paris. TASS writes about this.

The IOC said there will be no restrictions on individual neutral athletes (AINs) communicating with the media. Athletes will be able to do this in the mixed zone or at press conferences.

In September 2023, World Aquatics allowed Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete in individual disciplines as neutrals. However, the organization threatened to disqualify the Russians for speaking to the media during the competition.

The 2024 Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Russians and Belarusians are allowed to compete as individual neutral athletes.
