As you could see in Wednesday’s edition of the show, her colleagues appreciate her commitment, because the entire morning program was devoted to the presenter’s birthday.
Anna Popek celebrated her birthday on Republika TV
Anna Popek didn’t take the day off because of her birthday. She arrived at work at dawn because she is the main host of the “Republika wstamy” program and there is not much in the team who could replace her in this role. TV Republika is experimenting with other couples who could host the breakfast program interchangeably with Anna Popek and Rafał Patyra, but Popek remains the most important face of the program.
Her co-workers prepared a surprise for her. Although the morning started with wishes – from themselves and from the Internet, from viewers. At the very end, Anna Popek was invited to the table with snacks that had been prepared for an hour. And there, from heaven, a gift came down to her. The drone with the bouquet attached lowered to ground level, and the flowers landed in Anna Popek’s hand. It must be admitted that creativity cannot be denied. Anna Popek was filled with delight, which she also confirms in her Instagram post summarizing the morning’s events:
They kept everything a secret until the last minute. When I asked where the script was, they said it would be there soon, but it wasn’t. There was suspicious activity on and off the set since the morning. We started the program normally, but a moment later everything started… Karol Kus sang a beautiful song for me, my photos from the set were recalled, I received touching wishes from the viewers, then there was a cake and finally a drone delivered a bouquet of roses straight to the set!! I’ve never had such a birthday in my life! – the presenter was excited.
Anna Popek came to TV Republika as a result of the revolution in public media at the end of 2023. The vast majority of people who supported the propaganda of one party lost their jobs. Employees of breakfast, information and, to some extent, entertainment programs were mentioned. Some people who came to Polish Television during Jacek Kurski’s times did not return to TVP screens after these changes. They were offered a job at the private TV Republika. Apart from Anna Popek, there were also: Michał Rachoń, Danuta Holecka, Adrian Klarenbach, Rafał Patyra, Miłosz Kłeczek and many others.
