The Swiss national team drew with Germany and reached the Euro 2024 playoffs

The German national team played a draw with the Swiss national team in the third round match of the group stage of the 2024 European Championship, held in Germany. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.

The meeting took place in Frankfurt am Main at the Deutsche Bank Park stadium and ended with a score of 1:1. In the 28th minute, the goal was scored by Swiss midfielder Dan Ndoye. In the second minute added to the second half, striker Niklas Füllkrug equalized the score. Thus, the Swiss missed out on victory over their opponent.

In a parallel match of Group A, the teams of Scotland and Hungary met. The teams played at the MHP-Arena stadium in Stuttgart with a score of 1:0 in favor of Hungary. Forward Kevin Chobot scored a goal in the tenth minute added to the second half.

As a result of the meeting, Germany entered the Euro 2024 playoffs from first place, gaining seven points. The Swiss finished second with five points.
