Didier Deschamps says Mbappe’s recovery is going in the right direction
The head coach of the French national football team, Didier Deschamps, assessed the recovery of Kylian Mbappe who broke his nose. His words are quoted by RMC Sport.
“Will he start against Poland on Tuesday? We’ll see. Everything is going in the right direction. There is a hematoma that will decrease every day, he will get used to the mask, which slightly changes his vision,” Deschamps said.
Due to injury, Mbappe did not take part in France’s second match in the group stage against the Netherlands. The striker was registered, but never appeared on the field. Instead, the forward played in a friendly match with the German club Paderborn and scored two goals – this match was attended by players of the French national team who did not take the field in the match against the Netherlands.
Mbappe suffered a broken nose in the first meeting of the Euro 2024 group stage against Austria. Initially, there was information that the football player would need surgery, but it was avoided.
