UEFA has imposed a new fine on the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) due to incidents that occurred during the game between Croatia and Albania in the Euro Cupinformed the entity this Saturday (22).
HNS will have to pay 28 thousand euros (R$ 162 thousand at current prices) for the “use of flares and the throwing of objects by some fans during the match played on June 19, in Hamburg”.
Croatia had already been fined after their first, in a 3-0 defeat to Spain.
“The Croatian Football Federation thanks fans for their excellent support and asks again not to light and throw flares,” the HNS statement read.
2022 World Cup semi-finalists Croatia could be eliminated in the Euro group stage after losing to Spain and drawing with Albania.
To reach the round of 16, they will have to beat Italy, the current European champion, in the last round of Group B, next Monday.
