O Palm trees confirmed this Saturday morning the sale of young Estêvão. The Verdão sensation, just 17 years old, was negotiated with the Chelseafrom England.
“Society Esportiva Palmeiras informs that it has concluded an agreement with Chelsea-ING for the transfer of striker Estêvão. The 17-year-old athlete will join the London team in July 2025, after competing in the FIFA Club World Cup for the #MaiorCampeãodoBrasil “, said the São Paulo club’s statement on social media.
Last week, the jewel of the Palmeiras base had undergone exams supervised by Palmeiras doctors, and was approved. For the deal to be completed, the documents still needed to be signed, which took place this Saturday.
The negotiation is worth around 65 million euros (R$372.8 million at the current price), of which 40 million (R$229.4 million) is fixed plus 25 million (R$143.4 million) in bonuses.
Promising in the youth categories, Estêvão joined the professional team permanently at the beginning of this season, after the elimination of the under-20s from the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. The player shone in the competition, with four goals and two assists. His debut for the main team, however, took place in the last round of the 2023 Brasileirão.
In the 2024 season, Estêvão played 21 games for the Palmeiras professional team, with four goals and three assists.
