Fedor Konyukhov accused Ovechkin of greed and declared a lack of respect for him
Traveler Fedor Konyukhov said that he has a bad attitude towards the Russian forward of the Washington Capitals National Hockey League (NHL) club Alexander Ovechkin. His words are quoted by Match TV.
Konyukhov reproached the athlete for greed, and also noted that he did not respect him and would not shake hands. “He performs in America. And he doesn’t think about Russia, but only about how to earn more money for himself,” said the traveler.
According to Konyukhov, Ovechkin should play in Russia. He also said that the Russian would not be able to break the record for the number of goals in the NHL regular season, held by Wayne Gretzky.
Ovechkin has been playing in the National Hockey League since 2005, playing for Washington throughout his overseas career. The Russian is the 2018 Stanley Cup winner.
