was a guest on the program “My First Time” on. The former revealed what qualities helped him become one of the best righteous defenders in the world. He mentioned, among others diligence and diligence. The latter, as he himself admitted, he learned after one rather funny training situation, when he was still her trainer.
A painful lesson from Łukasz Piszczek. “I don’t care what you got into”
– I joined the offensive action as a left-back. In the “sixteen” I got the ball where he would not necessarily want to get, and I’m lying. I crumple in pain and the coach interrupts the 11v11 game and asks, “What are you doing there?” I say that I got into a tender place, and he says, with his cool face, which he can make: “I don’t care what you got into. You are a defender, you have to return to your position” – said Piszczek.

– It showed me how important it is for him that the defender has to defend and do his job in the back, and if you do something forward then it’s fun. He also wanted a player who could play offensively, but defense is important and that taught me to be so diligent. Lots of defenders have a problem with that. When it’s in the opponent’s half or at the midline, sometimes some people jog. I was taught that there must be gas, there must be reconstruction. This conscientiousness stayed with me until the end of my career. If I have an influence on a defender, I try to pass it on – added Piszczek.
Łukasz Piszczek said goodbye to great football in the summer for the club from his hometown. Earlier, however, the former Polish representative had a very successful season in Borussia Dortmund, with which he won the German Cup. Behind our western border he was bid farewell with regret and great honors, but he remained faithful to his decision.
From the 2021/2022 season, Łukasz Piszczek became a new player of the LKS Goczałkowice-Zdrój appearing in the 3rd Polish league. The 36-year-old has always stressed his attachment to the club where he grew up and appeared regularly at matches. At one point, he also declared that he intended to end his career there.
