In the men’s singles, in addition to Medvedev, Russia will be represented by Aslan Karatsev, Roman Safiullin and Pavel Kotov. Andreeva, Ekaterina Alexandrova, Diana Schneider and Veronika Kudermetova will perform in the women’s singles in Paris.
Medvedev will also play in doubles, his partner will be Safiullin, the second men’s pair will be Karatsev and Kotov. In women’s doubles, Andreeva and Kudermetova, Schneider and Alexandrova are entered into the competition.
At the moment, Medvedev is the best Russian tennis player, he ranks fifth in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals. Safiullin is in 40th place, Kotov is in 50th place, Karatsev is in 97th place. Among Russians, Alexandrova has the best position in the Women’s Tennis Association ranking (20th). Russians and Belarusians are allowed to participate in the 2024 Olympics as individual neutral athletes. The competition will take place in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
