Georgian and Turkish fans fought at the stadium before the match at Euro 2024
Fans of the Georgian and Turkish national teams started a fight at the Signal Iduna Park stadium in Dortmund ahead of the teams’ match in the first round of the Euro 2024 group stage. A video of the incident is published by the OFNews Telegram channel.
The footage shows fans of the two teams fighting on the border of the stadium sectors. They also throw foreign objects at each other.
The Group F match between Georgia and Turkey will take place on June 18 and will begin at 19:00 Moscow time. In the other game of the quartet, Portugal and the Czech Republic will meet, the meeting will begin at 22:00 Moscow time.
On June 16, ahead of the match between England and Serbia, British and Albanian fans attacked a bar where there were Serbian fans, including the son of Serbian President Danilo Vucic. He was accompanied by 20 special forces soldiers in civilian clothes who took part in the brawl. As a result, the British took the brunt of the attack, while the Albanians fled the place.
Euro 2024 takes place in ten cities in Germany from June 14 to July 14. The Russian national team misses the tournament due to suspension by the Union of European Football Associations.
