Olympic biathlon champion Ishmuratova called Kvaratskhelia an ungrateful person
Olympic biathlon champion Svetlana Ishmuratova called Georgian football player Khvichi Kvaratskhelia’s words about Russia spitting. She is quoted by Match TV.
“It’s spit. An ungrateful person. He caters to the people in Europe who call us bad and nasty. Why then did he leave Georgia and come here? I would stay there and kick the ball around. We don’t yet know what kind of player he would have turned out to be then,” Ishmuratova said.
Previously, Kvaratskhelia, who played in Russia, described his time in Moscow with the phrase “lived in a terrible place.” According to him, he was constantly alone at the Moscow Lokomotiv base in a deep forest and could not go out for a walk, as there were several dogs around.
Also, the Georgian Napoli midfielder said that he could not stay in Russia since 2022. “When the war started, I said I couldn’t stay here. Because of the position of my country and our history, I made it clear to Rubin that I had to leave,” said Kvaratskhelia.
