Eupen player Filin said that he lost money after moving to Europe
Russian defender of the Belgian “Eupen” Alexander Filin compared salaries at home and in Europe. His words are quoted by Sport 24.
“In any Russian middle peasant they would have given me 1.5 times more than in Eupen. Compared to Russia, they pay less in Belgium, of course,” said Filin.
The footballer added that in Europe everyone is lazy and imposing, the level of service lags behind the Russian one by ten years. According to him, this is especially true for restaurants.
Filin is a graduate of Shakhtar Donetsk. In the Russian Premier League he played for Ufa, Khimki and Tambov. In the winter of 2023, the defender moved to the Belgian side Eupen.
Earlier, Russian football player Nikita Glushkov said that he was shocked during his performances in Europe. “In the Slovak city of Trebisov there was a population of about 30 thousand, and a third were Roma. It was dangerous to walk in the evenings in case someone jumped out from around the corner. It happened a couple of times that they came out to look,” Glushkov said.
