This Monday, Sport, through its social networks, announced that it had reached an agreement with Wolverhampton, from England, for the “cession of economic and federative rights” of right-back Pedro Lima.
According to Leão’s board of directors, the values of the operation will only be officially disclosed when “all acts related to the business have been completed”, including the player’s approval of the English team’s medical exams.
“Sport Club do Recife announces that it has entered into a binding agreement to transfer the economic and federative rights of the athlete Pedro Lima to Wolverhampton Wanderers, from England. The agreement is subject to customary conditions, including the athlete’s approval of medical examinations conducted by the English club”, announced the club.

“President Yuri Romão and the football management committee will detail the operation in a statement when all acts related to the business have been completed”, he added.
Pedro Lima stood out in Sport’s youth categories and was quickly integrated into the professional squad. This season, the 17-year-old athlete participated in 26 Rubro-Negro matches (Campeonato Pernambucano, Copa do Nordeste, Copa do Brasil and Série B), with two goals and two assists.
Sport returns to the pitch next Thursday, when it visits Ceará at Castelão, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a match valid for the 11th round of Series B.
