Zenit responded to fans’ refusal to register Fan ID

The Zenit management reacted to the statement of the Landskrona fan movement, which declares its refusal to issue a Fan ID on behalf of the club’s active fans. TASS reports.

The general director of the blue-white-blue Alexander Medvedev said that the club plans to hold a meeting with the fans, where this issue will be discussed. The conversation will take place after the winter break in the Russian Premier League (RPL).

Landskrona issued a statement on 23 December. The introduction of Fan ID in the text is called a repressive measure. “These rules of the game run counter to the interests of the fans and football in general,” the authors of the book are convinced.

On December 17, the State Duma adopted a law introducing a fan passport. Fan ID was tested at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. To enter the stands and fan zones, each fan was required to have a personalized spectator card.
