Kosovo journalist Sadiku staged a provocation in front of fans of the Serbian national team
Kosovo journalist Arlind Sadiku staged a provocation at the podium with fans of the Serbian national team before the team’s match against England at the 2024 European Championship. This was reported by the Tanyug agency.
The correspondent was reporting on television, and then turned to the fans and with his hands depicted a double-headed black eagle – an element of the national flag of Albania. It is also considered an international gesture by Albanian units who participated in the ethnic cleansing of Serbs during the conflicts in the Balkans. After this, foreign objects were thrown at the journalist from the stands, and he had to leave the side of the field.
The Serbian Football Federation (FSS) has already contacted the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). She demands that Sadika be fined and deprived of his accreditation.
Before the start of the match, there was also a fight between English and Serbian fans in one of the bars in Gelsenkirchen, which hosted the match. The game ended in victory for the England team with a score of 1:0.
