Cezary Pazura on young actors: Let’s not escape into stereotypes
The actor willingly shares his memories from the sets and his extensive experience with fans and people who would like to pursue a similar profession. For this purpose, Pazura created a channel on YouTube, where we can hear about the behind-the-scenes of the filming of Polish hits, curiosities related to some titles that have not been published anywhere before, and even bloopers and scandals from film school.
Pazura does not avoid topics related to the acting industry in interviews. In one of his recent interviews, the actor referred to reports that young artists often have high expectations of their employers. asked Pazura for advice for people starting their adventure with acting.
– We must remember not to resort to stereotypes. It has actually become fashionable to complain about these young people. But not everyone comes to work and first asks for coffee, a signed contract and a trailer – the actor honestly emphasized.
“This staring is a bit too much”
At the same time, Pazura shared the story he had heard. – I heard about one YouTuber who came and asked to have ice cubes in the shape of teddy bears. Yes, but I won’t say which one – but our Pole is proud. Of course, in my time it was like that when an actor came to work, he first asked what he had to do, and only then found out how much it was for and then he could negotiate or not, because the contracts were already ready, because it was a commune.
Cezary Pazura respects people who are at the beginning of their careers and the changing times. However, he emphasizes that he would like young artists to slightly change their approach to their work – Nowadays, times have changed and, of course, everyone has to fight for their own interests, but I would always like it to be the first place in artistic professions, and this is my profession. question: “what should I do to make it work out well?” And we have to come to this together with the director and the producer, and only then say: “Okay, I’ll do it for you and it will cost this much.” And if someone says too expensive, you can find a compromise. But first we think about what we are doing, not staring, and this staring is actually a bit too much – said the actor.
