Experienced Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina has signed with Atlético Nacional, the team where he made his professional debut in 2005, the club announced on its social networks.
“Today you return with the beautiful family you built. The good son returns home”, said the mother of the Colombian national team goalkeeper, in an emotional video posted on the account of X of team. At the end of the sequence, Nacional’s shirt appears with the surname Ospina and the number one on the back.
The club did not specify how long they signed the 35-year-old goalkeeper, who will play for Colombia in the Copa América that starts next Thursday, the 20th, in the United States.

Owner of the historic campaign that took Colombia to the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Ospina had a long career in Europe where he played for French club Nice, English club Arsenal and Italian club Napoli. His last club, before returning home, was Al-Nassr, from Saudi Arabia.
Atlético Nacional, two-time Libertadores champion and Colombia’s most successful club, is going through a sporting crisis after several discreet seasons in the local tournament.
