Alex Aranburu (Movistar) has been third in the Tour of Belgium. The Basque cyclist has finished the race seven seconds behind the winner Spin, Soren Waerenskjold (One-X Mobility). Mathias Vacek (Lidl-Trek) was secondfour seconds from winning.
Aranburu took the stage victory in the fourth and penultimate stage. He has reached the last stage with a chance to win the race, but he has not been able to complete the good work done by winning the lap.
The winner of the fifth and final stage has decided on the sprint. In the last meters the best has been Tim Merlier (Soudal-Quick Step), 2nd Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Decuninck) and third Tom van Asbroeck (Israel-Premier Tech).
