The best knockout of the year was named the decisive blow by the reigning UFC champion Kamaru Usman in a duel against Jorge Masvidal. In second place is Jiri Prochazka. The Czech fighter knocked out Dominik Reyes with a roundhouse elbow. The third UFC KO of the year is Corey Sandhagen’s jump knee kick against Frankie Edgar.
Also included in the selection was a knockout performed by Dustin Poirier in his second fight against Irishman Conor McGregor. The American took revenge for his defeat in 2014. In 2021, the fighters met again in the Octagon: Poirier again emerged victorious due to McGregor’s injury.
In 2020, the UFC recognized the hit of Joaquin Buckley in a fight with Impa Kasanganai as the best knockout.
