Maialen Chourrauttriple Olympic medalist who will compete in the Olympic Games Parishas won this Friday the silver medal in the canoeing slalom World Cup event which takes place in Krakow (Poland).
The woman from Gipuzkoa finished second in the final after the Australian Jessica Foxwith a time of 94.2475 hundredths behind the winner (93.49) and ahead of the American Ria Sribar (99.03).
In the final, Chourraut improved her time from the semifinal (97.50), in which she was also second, 0.49 behind the Dutch Martina Wegman, who led the series (97.01), with the French Emma Vuitton in third place (99.52) and the Australian Jessica Fox in fourth (100.19).
In the men’s competition Pau Echanizalso qualified for the Paris kayak tests, entered the semi-finals yesterday with a great time (82.87 seconds), only surpassed by the British Joseph Clarke with 81.09, but could not access the final.
