Colds, nausea and headaches: virus threatens France’s European Championship debut

The France team is on alert. In recent days, a virus has infected some players, who complain of headaches, nausea, cramps and body aches. This scenario is happening just four days before the French debut in the European Championship. The information is from the portal RMC Sport.

France debuts in the European Championship against Austria, next Monday, at 4pm (Brasília time). Since this Wednesday, some players and the coaching staff have complained of flu-like symptoms, which have caused some of the squad to feel unwell. The French fear that this virus will negatively influence the team’s preparation for its debut in the competition.

Initially, as the symptoms are no longer serious, the French team’s schedule for the next few days will be maintained. This Thursday, France has an open training session scheduled in Paderborn, at 5:30 pm, with the presence of around 4 thousand fans.

France is in Group D of the European Championship, with Austria, the Netherlands and Poland. In Germany, the French will be looking for their third title in the history of the competition, which they have not won since the 2000 edition.
