Former Lokomotiv coach Bozovic considered the work of a referee unsuitable for women
Former head coach of Lokomotiv and Dynamo Moscow Miodrag Bozovic spoke about female referees working in football. His words are quoted by Sport24.
The Montenegrin specialist admitted that he considers this profession unsuitable for girls. “For me, a woman does another job, but not football. Well, what to do if this is the case in the world now? So I said my opinion, but in the West they will call me a sexist,” Bozovic noted.
The coach also described himself as an old-fashioned person. “It’s a joy for me when women raise families, raise children, and men work. Now we see women everywhere – even in men’s jobs. And it’s strange,” Bozovic said.
Earlier, Yenisei head coach Andrei Tikhonov criticized the team of referees led by Vera Opeikina, who officiated the match involving his team. The specialist called for the judge to be sent to Makhachkala to train. The RFU CDC punished Tikhonov with a three-match disqualification, and he will miss two more matches conditionally.
