With Goméz and Romero in the starting lineup, Paraguay loses to Chile in a preparatory friendly for the Copa América

This Tuesday, in a friendly played at Chile’s National Stadium, the Chilean team beat Paraguay by a score of 3-0. The goals were scored by Victor Dávila (2) and Eduardo Vargas, Atlético-MG striker. Gustavo Gómez, from Palmeiras, and Romero, from Corinthians, started in the Paraguayan starting team.

The friendly is part of the two teams’ preparation for the Copa América, which takes place in the United States. Chile, for example, which has already completed the tests, debuts on the 21st, against Peru, at 9pm (Brasília time), at the AT&T Stadium, in Texas.

Paraguay will play another friendly match, on Sunday, at 7:30 pm, against Panama. The ball rolls at the Estadio Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez, in Panama City.

Chile opened the scoring in the 17th minute of the opening stage. Gabriel Suazo received it on the left and crossed into the area. Victor Dávila appeared to play a fish in the right corner of Coronel, the Paraguayan archer.

The Chilean team increased its lead in the 37th minute, still in the first half. Gabriel Suazo, inside the area, had the surplus and crossed to Victor Dávila, again. The attacker, this time, moved Coronel with a subtle touch to the left corner.

Chile closed the score in the 7th minute of the second half. After a well-worked play in the attacking field, Diego Valdes, inside the penalty area, left it to Eduardo Vargas, who played with his right leg as the goalkeeper left.
