What does the Sunat tax refund consist of?
The Sunat ex officio refund is an automated process that reimburses excessive or improper payments directly, without the taxpayer having to submit a formal request. This system benefits those who have submitted their Annual Income Tax Return and registered deductible expenses, supported by electronic receipts associated with their RUC or DNI.
Who will be able to access the Sunat tax refund?
This refund is intended for independent workers and employees who receive fourth and fifth category income. To automatically qualify, it is essential that taxpayers keep their electronic expense receipts correctly recorded and associated with their identity document.
It should be noted that those who requested an electronic ticket with their ID when making purchases in bars, restaurants and hotels may also benefit. This procedure is carried out automatically, without requiring additional procedures.
