This Tuesday, in the last friendly to prepare for the European Championship, Portugal beat Ireland 3-0, at the Estádio Municipal de Aveiro. João Félix and Cristiano Ronaldo (2) scored for the home team.
The Portuguese team had the return of its biggest star, who did not take the field in the 4-2 victory over Finland (he was off) and in the 2-1 defeat against Croatia (he was on the bench).
Portugal’s next match will be on Tuesday, at 4pm (Brasília time), against the Czech Republic, at the Leipzig Stadium, for their debut in the European Championship. Ireland only plays on September 7th, when they face England, at 1pm, in the first round of the Nations League.

The score was opened by Portugal in the 18th minute of the opening stage. João Félix took advantage of Bruno Fernandes’ pass on the right wing, cut the marker inside the area and finished from the left to score the first goal of the match.
The home team extended their lead 5 minutes into the second half. After Gonçalo Inácio’s throw, Cristiano Ronaldo dominated on the right, moved to his left leg and hit a shot into Kelleher’s corner.
At 15 of the complementary stage, Portugal closed the result. Diogo Jota took advantage of the counterattack, dribbled past two Irish players and rolled the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo, who was in the center of the area and hit it hard, high up.
