The agreement determines that all of them They will be part of the core of the Euroleague at least until the 2039-40 seasonThat is, fourteen years after the agreement with International Management Group (IMG) expires, which ends at the end of the 2025-26 campaign. The agreement between Euroleague and IMG, which organizes sporting events worldwide, was formalized at the end of 2015, and represented an injection of 872 million euros over the next ten years.

According to the agreement, the competition initially went from 24 to 16 teams, and the competition system was changed. The Euroleague Board of Owners plans to meet on June 17 and 18, in Barcelona, ​​to determine the dates of the Euroleague and the Eurocup, the second continental competition, as well as their calendar.
