Italian Thiago Motta has become the new head coach of Juventus
Juventus has decided on a new head coach, Italian Thiago Motta. Authoritative insider Fabrizio Romano reported this on the social network X.
According to him, Motta, after a meeting with the management of Juventus, signed a contract for three years. The new head coach is expected to be officially introduced this week.
Last season, 41-year-old Motta worked for the Italian Bologna. Under his leadership, the team took fifth place in Serie A and received the right to play in the Champions League.
Juventus’ previous coach, Massimiliano Allegri, was sacked in May after winning the Coppa Italia. “The dismissal was a consequence of the coach’s behavior in the final of the tournament, which the club considered inconsistent with the values of Juventus,” the Italian team said on its official website. During stoppage time of the match against Atalanta, Allegri ran up to the reserve referee, tore off his jacket and began shouting in his face.
