Croatia debuts in the European Championship next Saturday, at 1pm (Brasília time), against Spain, at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany. Coach Zlatko Dalic revealed in a press conference how to overcome the opponent.
“Each game at the European Championship will be different. Against Spain, we have to play like against Portugal, but better. I’m counting on all the players. Last Saturday, Croatia beat Portugal 2-1, at the Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor, in a friendly preparatory match for the European tournament. This was the last match before the team debuted at Euro 2024.
After the game, Zlatko Dalic praised the Croatian team’s performance.
“It was a good preparation game, even if it was a friendly. The result is always important, but the most important thing is that we did well, we played as we wanted. It’s a good sign. Now, we have five days of preparation ahead of us. If we want If we have a good result, we will have to give even more than we did against Portugal, one of the favorites to win the Euro. Finally, the coach praised the Spanish team, but showed confidence in Croatia.
