Bolivia advances its call for the January games by qualifying rounds

La Verde will concentrate on January 4 in La Paz to begin preparation of the matches on January 28 with Venezuela and on February 1 against Chile.

Internationals Carlos Lampe and Marcelo Martins Moreno, top scorer of the South American qualifiers of the Qatar 2022 World Cup lead the roster of 34 players called up by the Bolivian coach, the Venezuelan César Farías, to face Venezuela and Chile in the next few dates.

Martins Moreno, who plays for the Brazilian Cruzeiro, and Lampe, goalkeeper for the Argentine Vélez Sarsfield, are part of the Farías list, which also includes the midfielder Alejandro Chumacero, who concluded his contract with the Unión Española de Chile and currently does not have a club.

They were also called the defender Jairo Quinteros, who announced that he closed a cycle in the ranks of Bolívar de La Paz and will probably return to Inter Miami, and the youth Miguel Terceros and Leonardo Zabala, who are in the teams U-15 and U-20 of Santos from Brazil, respectively.

Between the summoned from local clubs, there are some players who ended their contracts with those who were their teams until this year and whose future for now is uncertain, among them, the experienced Juan Carlos Rabbit Arce and the camper center Fernando Saucedo, who achieved the runner-up with the Always Ready.

Others have already defined their passage to other clubs, including the forward Henry Vaca, which will return to The Strongest after a season in the Oriente Petrolero.

Concentration to start the preparation for dates 15 and 16 of the qualifying rounds will start on January 4 in La Paz, reported the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF).

Bolivia will visit Venezuela on January 28 on the fifteenth day and will receive Chile in La Paz on February 1 by the sixteenth date.

Although it is eighth in the South American classification, La Verde de Farías does not lose hope of achieving a quota to Qatar 2022 or at least aspire to the repechage. The Bolivian team has 15 points, two less than Colombia and Peru and one less than Chile and Uruguay. (D)
