Brazil’s rival in the Copa AmΓ©rica, Colombia defends unbeaten run of more than two years

After beating the United States 5-1 last Saturday, the Colombian team completed 22 consecutive games without losing, the second longest unbeaten run in its history. The team will be Brazil’s rival in Group D of the Copa AmΓ©rica.

Since February 2022, when they lost to Argentina 1-0, Colombia has 17 wins and five draws, totaling 84.8% success. The team scored 40 goals and conceded just 14 in the 22-game series.

During this period, the Colombians beat Germany and Spain for the first time. They also achieved an unprecedented victory over Brazil in the South American Qualifiers.

In their last friendly before the Copa AmΓ©rica, a lively Colombia faces Bolivia this Saturday. The team defended by James RodrΓ­guez debuts on the 24th, against Paraguay, and duels with the Brazilian team on July 2nd.
