Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Sergei Kharitonov was outraged by the amount of heavyweight Alexander Emelianenko’s fee for the fight against blogger Artyom Tarasov. The athlete expressed his opinion on the STOKIYA MUSIC show on YouTube.
41-year-old Kharitonov criticized the conduct of such fights. He noted that for this fight Emelianenko received an amount comparable to the fees for a professional performance, and called the fight between the heavyweight and the blogger a clown.
In September, Emelianenko fought with Artem Tarasov according to the rules of boxing. The fight ended with a victory for the heavyweight by a decision. In November, he returned to professional MMA and was defeated by Brazilian Marcio Santos.
Kharitonov signed a contract with Eagle FC, the promotion of Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov. The heavyweight will compete in the main event of the organization’s tournament in the United States in January. He will go up against the Dutchman Tyron Spong.
