With two from Lukaku, Belgium beats Luxembourg in a friendly before their European Cup debut

The Belgium team beat the Luxembourg team 3-0 in a pre-Euro Cup friendly. Striker Lukaku and Trossard scored two goals in the game that took place at the King Baldwin Stadium, in Brussels, Belgium.

Belgium opened the scoring in the 42nd minute of the first half. Enes Mahmutovic fouled Lukaku in the box and the referee awarded the penalty. The attacker himself took the penalty and converted. The Belgians extended the score at 12 in the second half, again with Lukaku after an assist from Doku. Finally, Trossard scored the third to declare Belgium’s victory.

This was Belgium’s last commitment before their debut in the European Championship, which will be played in Germany. Before beating Luxembourg, the Belgian team had already beaten the Montenegro team, also 2-0. The Luxembourg team, in turn, is out of Euro 2024.

The debut of the team led by Domenico Tedesco returns to the field on June 17th for the first round of the European Championship, against Slovakia. The ball drops at 1 pm (Brasília time), Deutsche Bank Park.
