Cruzeiro announced this Thursday that Brentford striker Igor Thiago is recovering from an injury at Toca da Raposa 2. Trained in the youth teams, the player defended the Minas Gerais club until 2022.

Igor Thiago was sold by Cruzeiro to Ludogorets, from Bulgaria, at the beginning of 2022. In 2023, the center forward transferred to Club Brugge and helped the team win the Belgian Championship. In Europe, he scored 50 goals in 108 games.
Last February, Igor Thiago was announced as a reinforcement for Brentford, who paid around R$198 million to have his services from next season onwards.
