France Football magazine announced this Thursday that the 2024 Ballon d’Or awards will take place on October 28th, at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris, France. It was also reported that the finalists for the award will be revealed on September 4th.
From this year onwards, the awards will be made in partnership with UEFA. In addition, two new awards appear in this edition: best coach in men’s football and best coach in women’s football.

In total, there are 10 prizes to be awarded. The most significant are the Ballon d’Or for the best male and female player. Last season, Messi and Bonmatí won in their respective categories.
This year, Brazilian Vini Jr. is one of the big favorites to win the best player award. However, he will have stiff competition from his Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham. Together, they finished the European season by winning the Spanish Championship and the Champions League.
