South Korea opened the scoring with Kang-in Lee, a Paris Saint-Germain player, eight minutes into the first half. He received it inside the area, pedaled towards the marker and hit a bomb in the corner.
The score was extended shortly after, in the 19th minute. From the left, Jin-su Kim crossed to the head of Min-kyu Ju, who, free from marking, finished with precision into the corner of the goal.
In the second half, South Korea came back at full steam. In the seventh minute, Son Heung-min, a Tottenham player, started from the left, took it to the middle and shot hard into the back of the net. The fourth came just a minute later when Min-kyu Ju left Kang-in Lee in front of goal. He adjusted it and hit the goalkeeper.
Korea’s fifth goal came after 10 minutes and was very similar to the third. Son received it on the left, moved it to the middle and hit the ball into the net. The sixth came in the 33rd minute, when Seung-wook Park was launched from the right wing, crossed low into the area and saw Bae Jun-Ho finish.
Hee-Chan Hwang closed the scoring for South Korea in the 35th minute. After confusion inside the area, the ball fell to number 11, who, even with his body a little unbalanced, managed to score the seventh goal.
