Stanislav Cherchesov said that he had offers from foreign clubs
Russian coach Stanislav Chersesov spoke about how he made the decision to lead the Kazakhstan national team. He is quoted by Match TV.
According to the specialist, he had offers from foreign clubs, but he did not want to work there. “You need to speak English and German. I have already said that I would like to work in a Russian-speaking atmosphere. I just want to take a break,” said the coach, adding that Russian clubs have not approached him.
On June 3, it was announced that Cherchesov was appointed to the post of head coach of the Kazakhstan national team. The duration of the contract and financial terms were not disclosed.
Cherchesov’s previous place of work was the Hungarian Ferencvaros, with whom he won the championship twice and took the national Cup. The coach left the Budapest club in the summer of 2023.
