The head of the Russian Tennis Federation (RFF), Shamil Tarpishchev, named the names of the country’s representatives who will perform at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. His words are quoted by TASS.

According to the functionary, for men, Daniil Medvedev, Andrei Rublev, Karen Khachanov and Roman Safiullin will receive a ticket to the Games. For women, Daria Kasatkina, Lyudmila Samsonova, Ekaterina Alexandrova and Mirra Andreeva will perform at the tournament. Tarpishchev emphasized that the composition will be the same if all Russians are allowed to participate in the tournament.

Earlier, Tarpischev said that after reaching the semifinals of Roland Garros, Andreeva should become the fourth racket of Russia. “This means that she gets to the Olympics,” he concluded.

Russians and Belarusians were allowed to participate in the Games in Paris as individual neutral athletes. No more than four athletes per country in each category will be able to compete in the tennis tournament. Applicants will be determined by ratings; the final decision on Russian participants in the competition will be made by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
