Atlético de Madrid is looking to reinforce its attacking sector for next season. The club has its eye on Ukrainian center forward Artem Dovbyk, one of Girona’s highlights and top scorer in the last edition of the Spanish Championship, as reported this Wednesday by the Spanish newspaper Sports world.
According to the outlet, Atlético de Madrid is looking to replace the departure of Memphis Depay and a possible loss of Álvaro Morata. Coach Diego Simeone’s favorite for the position would be Artem Dovbyk, who scored 24 goals in the Spanish Championship and was the competition’s top scorer.

However, Girona is willing to negotiate only upon payment of the player’s termination fine, worth approximately R$230 million. According to the Sports world, Atlético’s first offer was around R$143 million.
The newspaper also highlights a possible attacking duo between Dovbyk and Antoine Griezmann. The two were part of the ideal team in the last edition of the Spanish Championship.
In addition to the Ukrainian, Atlético de Madrid is also keeping an eye on other attacking options. Alexander Sorloth, from Villareal, Serhou Guirassy, from Stuttgart, Jonathan David, from Lille, and Viktor Gyokeres, from Sporting, are of interest to the Spanish club.
