The 46-year-old Italian takes over the team that was the sensation of the season in Serie A, qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in history.
The coach has managed Fiorentina for the last three seasons, leading the team to seventh place in the Italian Championship in 2021/2022 and eighth in the following two years, in addition to reaching two consecutive Conference League finals (2023 and 2024).
The musical chairs between coaches in Italian football are expected to be busy in the coming weeks, with 11 of the 20 first division teams already changing or planning to have a new manager for next season.
Vicenzo Italiano was replaced at Fiorentina by Raffaele Palladino, who left Monza.
