Vladimir Fedotov made a statement after his dismissal from the post of CSKA head coach. His words are quoted by the army team’s Telegram channel.

According to the specialist, he is very sorry to leave the team. “But such is football life and coaching’s fate. Coaching CSKA is an exceptional honor and responsibility,” said Fedotov.

The former army coach also thanked all the people associated with CSKA. “We were one army family, and a piece of it will forever remain in our hearts!” – Fedotov added.

Earlier, the management of CSKA announced an agreement in principle with the new head coach, Serbian Marko Nikolic. The specialist should lead CSKA in the near future.

On June 3, CSKA fired Fedotov. He has led the army since June 2022. Under the leadership of a specialist, CSKA won the 2023 Russian Cup and became the silver medalist of the Russian Championship of the 2022/2023 season.
