Canadian Derek Gee wins the longest stage and is the new leader of the Dauphiné

The Canadian Derek Gee (Israel Premier Tech) won the third stage of the Dauphiné between Celles-sur-Durolle and Les Estables (181.7 kilometers), in which he also took on the leader’s yellow jersey, marking his first victory in a World Tour test.

Gee was imposed when responding to an attack by Romain Gregoire (Groupama) with 400 meters to go, and raised his arms before the French runner. Third place went to the British Lukas Nerurkar (EF Education).

Gee He is the new leader thanks to the 10 bonus seconds for the stage and 3 more for the lead over the peloton. They follow him Magnus Corte (One X) to 3 seconds and Gregory to 4.

This Wednesday the fourth stage in the individual time trial between Saint-Germain-Laval and Neulise, with a route of 34.4 km.
