The head of the RFU Dyukov said that changes in Russia’s exclusion can be expected in the fall
President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Alexander Dyukov announced the possible lifting of the suspension from Russia by the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). His words are quoted by Bookmakers Rating.
Dyukov said that certain changes can be expected in the fall of 2024. He emphasized that his intuition tells him so. “We have voiced our position, we understand the position of FIFA and UEFA,” added the head of the RFU.
Earlier, Dyukov responded to an invitation to attend the 2024 European Championship, which will be held from June 14 to July 14 in Germany. Dyukov refused to travel to the tournament due to the suspension of the Russians.
Russian football clubs and national teams do not take part in international tournaments by decision of FIFA and UEFA. The restrictions came into force in February 2022.
