This Monday, France announced the pre-list of 25 called up by coach Thierry Henry for the Olympics and striker Kylian Mbappé was left out. Previously, the athlete had revealed that he would like to participate in the competition, which will be held between July 26th and August 11th in his country.

The Olympic team coach revealed the reason for Mbappé’s absence and practically confirmed the star’s move to Real Madrid.
“Real Madrid was very direct regarding the Olympics. There wasn’t even any negotiation. You go and ask, they say no and you leave,” he said at a press conference.
Kylian could still appear on the final list, which will be revealed on July 3rd, but it is likely that he will even be left out of the tournament.
“We don’t know what could happen before July 3. This list is quite true, but it is open to everyone, the door is not closed to anyone. I haven’t heard so many refusals since school,” Henry said.
The main names that appear among those called up are: Michael Olise (Crystal Palace), Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola (Paris Saint-Germain), Mathys Tel (Bayern Munich) and Leny Yoro (Lille).
The maximum number of players over 23 allowed for the Olympics is three. However, Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette is the only one over the age group among those selected. Henry explained the reason.
“There will be three players over 23 years old, but I can’t say more. It’s not easy for the clubs, who have the right to keep them”, he reported.
