Evgenia Medvedeva called her relationship with Eteri Tutberidze working
Two-time world champion and Olympic silver medalist in figure skating Evgenia Medvedeva described her relationship with her former coach Eteri Tutberidze. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The ex-athlete called them workers. “There are a lot of shows now, and there is no option for us not to communicate, because this is still such a figure skating society, which we call the “figure skating family.” We are nowhere apart from each other, we support each other, and everything is fine with us,” said the Russian woman.
Last December, Medvedeva reproached Tutberidze for lying. The specialist stated that Medvedeva “cryed with happiness” after winning silver at the 2018 Olympic Games. “Well, what happiness, what joy? What the hell is joy?!” — the Russian woman noted.
From 2018 to 2020, Medvedeva trained under coach Brian Orser in Canada. In September 2020, the athlete announced her return to Eteri Tutberidze, with whom she had previously worked. She retired from acting in 2021.
